Field Canvass Import

Description
Field Canvass Import is an interface with the ACR's GIS system in order to update personal property assessment information discovered during the field canvass process. You can maintain the field canvass status, findings and notes, and add, delete or edit updated property and ownership information based on field canvass findings. This interface produces work items so that the appropriate assessment maintenance workflows are generated; in turn, you are directed to screens where PPA revenue objects can be added, modified or deactivated.
Steps
- On the Field Canvass Importscreen, click Browse to locate and select the import file using the Choose File to Upload dialog.
- From the Import file format drop-down list, select Field Canvass Import.

Enter the worksheet (tab) to process, or leave the field blank to process all tabs.
- Click Finish. The batch process is initiated and the Monitor Batch Processes screen opens automatically.
- On the Monitor Batch Processes screen, click on an item in the grid to open the View Batch Process Details screen.
- Click Configuration > File Input/Output > Input/Output File Configuration .
- Select Field Canvass Import from the Process table drop-down list.
- Click Search.
- In the Saved File Layouts panel, locate Field Canvass Import and click Edit.
- In the Report panel, click to open the PDF.
NOTE: On the Maintain PPA Accounts screen, the Field Canvass Information panel automatically sets the Status and Completed Date fields when the batch process is complete. The Property Description field displays "Field Canvass Import" instead of "PP Other."
When, after the batch is run, the status is No change, the Completed By and Completed Date fields are updated to indicate the PIN was reviewed.
When the import process runs, it employs the mappings of the File I/O configuration.

Workflows
The Field Canvas Import task creates a workflow for each property status with matching records. A workflow is not created for non-matching records that are skipped during import process.
Skipped records are reported on the Confirmation Detail Report and you can work them separately (for example, to add a PIN on an existing Legal Party, and create or update situs address information.
